Excellent presentation by Dr. Marks.
One minor point of criticism: too much emphasis on ‘creativity’ as the thing that distinguishes the human mind from computers. Marks offers several examples of historical Eureka moments, which adds to the notion that only those ungraspable occurrences sets us apart from computers.
I would suggest that the simple fact that we understand things, and computers do not, deserves more prominence as an obvious demarcation. Dr. Marks mentions Searle’s chinese room (at ± 52 min), but doesn’t build on it.
